Neighborhoods
Healthy, safe, and welcoming neighborhoods are built on the strengths and contributions of those who call the neighborhood their "home". The City provides neighborhoods with resources and support to:
- Help community members discover the assets and gifts already present in their neighborhoods
- Create opportunities to help neighbors work collectively towards a common goal
- Promote partnerships between neighbors, community organizations, and city staff

The City of Corvallis recognizes neighborhood associations that meet the following minimum criteria:
Empowerment Grants help individuals and organizations work together to accomplish common goals that support the overall health, vitality and inclusivity of the place they call "home." The City of Corvallis offers these grants to applicants who can demonstrate support through cash, in-kind donation, and volunteer hours.
This is a competitive grant program. Applications are reviewed by the Community Involvement and Diversity Advisory Board, and selected grants are awarded by the City Council. Grant amounts are typically in the range of $300 to $600 dollars each.
Nothing brings neighbors together quicker than a common interest and a will to solve a problem, meet a need or have some fun. The links below provide project ideas to help your neighborhood gather and make a positive change for our community.
Neighborhood associations that are recognized by the City of Corvallis are eligible to request free use of a facility owned by the City or by the Corvallis School District, once per year. Please use this form to request meeting space.

The City of Corvallis encourages neighbors to gather and discuss common interests. The Community Development Department offers neighborhoods a "Meeting-in-a-Bag" to assist with these gatherings.
