It is the mission of the Housing Division to facilitate the creation and maintenance of affordable and habitable housing opportunities for lower-income and/or housing disadvantaged Corvallis residents. We do this by:

  • Designing and delivering financial assistance programs to help lower-income residents rehabilitate or purchase a home;
  • Designing and delivering financial assistance programs to help rental property owners rehabilitate structures that house lower-income tenants;
  • Seeking and managing State and Federal assistance grants for the financing and construction of housing, infrastructure or community facilities that will serve lower-income residents;
  • Providing technical and financial assistance to agencies that serve the housing and social services needs of lower-income residents;
  • Designing and delivering programs to educate members of the community about issues of law and habitability that affect rental housing, and assisting through investigation and referral in the resolution of disputes that arise with regard to such issues;
  • Providing effective management of the City’s Housing Assistance Loan and Surplus Real Property Portfolios; and by
  • Providing citizens with information related to housing issues.
