Polar Bear Swim
Start your New Year by making a splash at the Osborn Aquatic Center's annual Polar Bear Swim on New Year's day. Dive into the cold waters of the outdoor pool and earn your right to roar like a Polar Bear! You might even come across a few chunks of ice floating in the water. Ride the water slide into a cool pool, or just jump in. Every daring bear will receive a small gift. If things get too icy for you, the heated indoor pools will be open as well.

Triathlon Clinic The Triathlon Clinic is a great opportunity for aspiring and seasoned triathletes to learn and share new training ideas, improve techniques, and push performance to new levels. Usually held in March, this clinic will help prepare you for the Heart of the Valley Triathlon in May. The clinic includes workshops, nutrition information, and underwater video which helps participants understand and improve their stroke.

April Pool's Day No fooling, we have a great time during this springtime event! Bring your family to enjoy a day of games, like the "Big Splash" competition, penny toss, water-basketball shooting competition, -even an egg hunt. There is also a chance for people to learn about scuba diving and kayaking. April Pool's Day is usually scheduled for the first Saturday in April.

Dollar Days Looking for some inexpensive fun? Osborn Aquatic Center's Dollar Days allows everyone to enjoy our pools for only $1.00 per person. Dollar Days are held in spring or summer months.

50-Meter Swim Usually held on Fridays and Saturdays during spring/summer months, Osborn Aquatic Center moves the bulkhead to the very end of the indoor 50 Meter Pool, allowing swimmers to use lanes that are a full 50-meters long, in preparation for the Heart of the Valley Triathlon. Use this time to improve your stroke, increase your endurance level, practice for the triathlon or just see what it takes to swim like an Olympian.

Heart of the Valley Triathlon (HOTV)
Held each year on Memorial Day, the Heart of the Valley Triathlon (HOTV), offers something for everyone in the family. The HOTV is a 750 meter swim, 12 mile bike leg, and 5K run. In addition, there is a Duathlon made of a 5K run, 12 mile bike, and 5K run. Kid's Triathlons at this event include the "Tri-It" which is a 25 meter swim, 0.25 mile bike and 300 yard run, and the "Iron Kids" race of 100 meter swim, 2.5 mile bike and 0.5 mile run. National Senior Health & Fitness Day Osborn Aquatic Center knows that seniors can benefit greatly from aqua-exercise. Although we offer classes year-round in warm water therapy and low-impact water aerobics, Osborn specifically encourages seniors to "test the waters" on National Senior Health & Fitness Day. On this day, usually scheduled in May, seniors 50 years or older can enjoy Osborn pools all day long for FREE!

School's Out Pool Party Celebrate the arrival of summer at Osborn Aquatic Center! The School's Out Pool Party is scheduled each year in June, according to the Corvallis school district calendar. All four pools are opened to kids of all ages to celebrate the accomplishment of another school year. A DJ is usually provided to keep the celebration lively. Tickets for this popular event go on sale one month in advance.

BBQ & Swim End your summer with a friendly, old fashioned barbeque by the pool. Osborn Aquatic Center's BBQ & Swim is scheduled each year in August. All four pools are opened for families to enjoy the last of the summer splendor. Burgers and Hot Dogs are served for dinner followed by organized water games, swimming, and for dessert...ice cream! Tickets for this popular event go on sale one month in advance.

Teen Night The Osborn Aquatic Center hosts special events just for teens. Teens can swim and socialize to their favorite music, hosted by a local DJ and enjoy prizes, dancing and special effects lighting.

Swim In The Dark Each year around Halloween, the Osborn Aquatic Center hosts a special Swim In The Dark event for families. With the overhead lights turned off and the indoor pools lit from below the water, the pool takes on a fun, spooky feel. Kids get to swim and socialize to their favorite music, hosted by a local DJ, float around on inner tubes, and compete to win prizes.

Turkey Trot Each year on Thanksgiving Day, Osborn Aquatic Center hosts the Turkey Trot, an early morning 5k run sure to build your appetite for an afternoon Thanksgiving feast. Besides the 5k run, we also offer a 1k run for "little trotters."
