American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA): Corvallis Delivering on the Stimulus Plan

Welcome to the City's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Web site.

Corvallis is participating in this program that will generate jobs, improve infrastructure, support affordable housing, encourage economic development, and enhance sustainability. Significant funding is being provided to the City from the Energy and Environment, Infrastructure and Public Safety areas. Projects include those specific to Corvallis such as local street improvements and those in which Corvallis is participating as a partner with other agencies at the State and Federal levels. More information about Corvallis' participation can be found below and on the links to the left.

ARRA Guidebooks about programs and funding opportunities are available as additional resources.

Oregon Way Advisory Group

May 13: The Oregon Way Advisory Group issued NEW GUIDELINES to help identify clearly the kinds of signature projects that will showcase Oregon’s green expertise to the nation and promote long-term job growth. The guidance also helps to demonstrate that the Advisory Group is not the only way to access federal economic recovery dollars.

Governor Kulongoski established the work process for The Oregon Way Advisory Group and sent this update regarding the implementation of The Oregon Way for potential proposers.

The State of Oregon is evaluating grant proposals for economic development. If you would like Mayor Tomlinson to write a letter in support of your proposal, please fill out this form. The Mayor will evaluate your proposal against local criteria and will forward a recommendation to the appropriate State agency. The criteria are noted on the form. When you and the State agency have determined that your proposal will be forwarded to the "Oregon Way" Advisory Group, please let the Mayor know.

If you are applying for funding through the State of Oregon, the Corvallis-Benton Chamber Coalition is a local resource.

With much at stake, the Act provides for unprecedented levels of transparency and accountability so that you will be able to know how, when, and where your tax dollars are being spent.
