Volunteers are essential to the outstanding livability of our community, broadening and deepening many City services and programs. Contributions to the common good span a great range of efforts, from dedicating time to others individually and in meetings, to doing physical and clerical work, to making targeted monetary or in-kind gifts, to seeking new solutions to old problems.

Police Department

The Corvallis Police Volunteer Auxiliary is an organization dedicated to assisting the Corvallis Police Department in its delivery of non-enforcement services.

Neighborhood watch, business watch.
Citizen Police Academy.

Fire Department

Volunteer firefighters are an integral part of the Corvallis Fire Department. The Department maintains a roster of approximately 44 volunteers.

Parks & Recreation

With over 2000 acres of parks and open spaces, the Corvallis Parks and Recreation staff simply could not maintain our exceptional parks or offer such a large variety of activities without the help of volunteers.

Library

The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library is one of the busiest libraries in the state and requires the help of dedicated volunteers in a wide variety of jobs.
