Trees To Treasure Some of the downed trees from Corvallis are recycled into finely-crafted heirloom bowls, gifts, and boxes as a fund raising partnership between Corvallis Parks & Recreation and local wood-workers. A small collection of these elegant pieces of lustrous walnut, elm, maple, honey locust and other fine woods are on display and available for sale at our administration office in Avery Park. Proceeds are used to support local Urban Forestry projects. Ages:

Hilltop Big Band Concerts The Hilltop Big Band presents another season of free, Central Park concerts featuring the swing sounds of Count Basie and others. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Corvallis Community Band Bring your instrument and join the Corvallis Community Band. Anyone with a band instrument and a high school level ability is welcome to play with the band. Annual Children's Parade Celebrate the world of nature with Corvallis Parks & Recreation's 62nd annual Children's Parade. Dress up as your favorite fish, bird, or animal and stretch your imagination. Groups, bands and drill teams will also be part of the parade. Participants receive ribbons and treats. Sorry -no motor driven vehicles or animals allowed. Dinner and a Story Enjoy a relaxing "family time" meal in Avery Park followed by story time. This popular program includes games and activities before dinner.
