Corvallis Government Television, Cable Channel 21 Corvallis Government Television on cable channel 21 was launched in January 2005. The channel offers information about City government, including broadcast of taped City Council meetings (Schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:30 pm; Saturday at 12 pm and 7 pm; Sunday at 10 am and 7 pm. Generally, broadcast of the most current meeting will begin on the Thursday following the Monday Council meeting), Meeting times, topics and locations, Job openings, City activities and events, Emergency preparedness resources, Opportunities for participation in City government, Crime prevention, drug awareness, fire safety, and other safety-related videos. Corvallis Community Access Television, Cable Channel 29 The City of Corvallis is responsibile for cablecasting Corvallis Community Access Television, CCAT Channel 29. The channel features a newly formatted bulletin-board for public service announcements and a calendar of local community events. If you are interested in placing a video on the public access channel or have a community event you would like publicized on the bulletin board, please contact Amy Hunter at 757-5756 or by email. Program scheduling can be viewed at the CCAT website, www.ccat29.org. The operating rules and procedures for the public access channel require videos to be produced by a Corvallis resident or an organization based in the city, or sponsored by a Corvallis resident or organization. Producers or sponsors are also required to sign an agreement taking full responsibility for the content of the program and for resolving any complaints received from the public. The operating rules and procedures as well as the agreement can be downloaded from this or CCAT's web site. The public access program is managed by the Public Works Department through an intergovernmental agreement with the Corvallis School District 509J.
