Stakeholder meeting to address the plastic bag issue in Corvallis
On Wednesday, February 29, the City of Corvallis will hold a meeting about reducing the use of single-use plastic shopping bags. This will be the second of two meetings with local retailers, their representative organizations, and external organizations with expertise on the subject.
Corvallis City Manager Jim Patterson has been appointed to the Oregon City/County Management Association (OCCMA) Board of Directors, representing the Willamette Valley and larger cities. The OCCMA seeks to increase proficiency of city managers, county managers, and other
municipal administrators; strengthen the quality of urban government; and apply ethical principles that govern the conduct of every member. Jim’s term will expire in 2014.
The second meeting of the Steering Committee for the OSU/City Collaboration Project will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 5 p.m. at the Downtown Fire Station located at 400 NW Harrison Boulevard.
